Kingswood Church – Privacy policy (Issue 1 – May 2018)

Kingswood Church, (including the work of Eleos Christian Bookshop & Welshpool & District foodbank) is a charitable company setup “To advance the Christian faith, and to relieve sickness and financial hardship and to promote and preserve good health by the provision of funds, goods or services of any kind including through the provision of counselling and support, in Welshpool and the surrounding district and in such other parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the trustees may from time to time think fit.”

The company holds personal data for attendees and guardians of attendees, bookshop account holders, foodbank referral agencies and foodbank clients to facilitate record keeping and communication, and Gift Aid collection as appropriate. This data is limited to that supplied by the church, agency or individual (guardian) at the time of enrollment or referral & Gift Aid form.

This data is not shared with any other organization nor is it used for any marketing purposes. Any information will only be stored for as long as is necessary or until the individual asks that it be removed or deleted. Data may be retained for historical or archive purposes but will not be used for any communication unless reactivated by the individual.

Data is received by consent of the individual and used to carry out legitimate interests in the conduct of the company or to call meetings (principally an AGM) and process contributions including Gift Aid claims. The data may be held electronically to facilitate these processes and is password protected to safeguard access. Paper forms are kept in a secure filing cabinet.
